Boom Bap Continuum: Hip-Hop from the last decade

Sort of a thrilling concept mixtape here from, Boom Bap Continuum packs just about 200 tracks into 80 minutes of mixtape glory. I realize I called it a concept mixtape, but educational may be a better adjective for it. 2tall, Kper, and DJ Clockwork present a history of the last decade of hip-hop music in chronological order.

“2tall, Clockwork and Kper are very proud to let you know that our new mix, A Boom Bap Continuum, is now live. We’ve worked very hard on this for most of the year and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we did putting it together.”

This is definitely worth a good listen if you have any interest in modern hip-hop.

Fresh Daily vs. Flying Lotus

I feel like I haven’t been blogging a lot lately because I originally wanted this site to be a place to share tech tutorials and resources. I think I can still keep that focus (once I’m done with finals) but also expand my horizons. With that said, I’m going to be posting tracks from unknown and well-known artists of all genres. I hope that I can share new music with my readers and discover new artists from my readers as well.

What happens when you take a great rapper from Brooklyn and let Flying Lotus (the guy behind the Adult Swim music) add drug-infused, hip-hop beats to his vocals. Well, what you get is the Flying Lotus remix of Winterfresh.
